Prayer from Ghana

Today is the Day of Prayer for Crop and Labour. We pray for "our daily bread" and confess our dependence on God.

Food security cannot be taken for granted. The Fair Factory Development Fund invests in African and Asian companies in the food processing industry. As shareholders, we help build powerful companies with a positive impact on a national scale.

One such company is Melach Coconut Processing Company in Ghana. We asked pastor emeritus Daniel K. Yankah, rvc member of this company, what he prays for.

Future

In Ghana, by no means everyone has access to food. Therefore, Rev Yankah prays for a blessed and fruitful year so that more people have food to eat. "That means fewer people will have to beg," he says.

In addition, Rev Yankah dedicates the youth of his country to God. He prays for more jobs so that young people have a chance to build their future.

"I also pray for justice in our society," Rev Yankah says. He hopes for an end to all corruption. In addition, the pastor emeritus asks that his country's water sources and forests be allowed to remain protected from illegal mining.

Trust

As a member of the supervisory board (rvc) of Melach Coconut Processing Company, Rev Yankah does not forget the company's employees, business partners and investment partners in his prayers. He prays that the much work may be done in trust in God, to His glory.

The pastor emeritus hopes his company may welcome new subsidiaries to create more jobs. "Work ensures that people have a chance to escape from poverty," he said.

But Rev Yankah wants to thank God above all. "Everything we have received comes from His hand. To Him belongs all praise and honour."
